March 21st Meet: Craft with Perri Lewis

Yes, I know we’re still in February, but we’re super excited about our March meeting!

We’ve got the craft queen herself- PERRI LEWIS coming to talk to us. For those at our Christmas crafty meeting, the lovely rag wreaths we made were designed by Perri, and you may have seen her work in either the Guardian or Psychologies magazine!

After our very energetic February meeting of Zumba, we thought we’d take it a little easier in March and have a craftacular meeting.  While the finer details are being hashed out, we thought it was best for everyone to get the dates in the diary!

Check out her lovely blog here:

At our usual home of Welsh Borough Chapel, 90 Southwark Bridge Road, SE1 0EX.  Guests very welcome if you would like to come try us out!

Feb 15th Meet – Zumba

At our January talk on destressing and decluttering the mind, we heard a lot about the importance of exercise & activity in reducing stress – so for our February meeting we’ll be blowing out the cobwebs and chasing away with winter blues with a fun Zumba class!

Zumba is a latin inspired dance fitness program and we are lucky to have Amy Bair coming along to teach us some moves and take us through a few Zumba-based games as well as a class.  There will also be plenty of time for tea, cake and socialising after the class.  Amy runs a regular Zumba class in our very own Welsh Chapel – more details can be found here for those who are keen for more Zumba!  http://www.facebook.com/ZumbawithAmyBair?sk=info

Please don’t feel you have to take part in the entire class or be an expert – as always, our meetings are about having fun, meeting new people and trying something new, so it’s fine to do as much as you feel comfortable doing.   Wear something you will be comfortable in and that allows you to move about freely.

Usual time, usual place: Third Weds of the month from 7.30 – 9.30pm (doors open at 7.00pm) in the basement room of Borough Welsh Chapel, 90 Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 0EX. Guests pay £3.
