Mon 30 Nov – Talk about the W.I. then Christmas crafting!

Details for the November meeting are now sorted. We’re going to have guest speakers from the West Kent Federation. Elizabeth Patterson and her colleagues will talk us through the history of the W.I., its values and then we’ll officially be sworn in as Borough Belles W.I. !

Then in the second half of the meeting there will be Christmas crafts for you to get stuck into. Materials will be provided and all will be revealed on the night. You’ll leave with a perfect home-made gift for your Nan or your Mum – or even a treat for yourself!

As this meeting there will be an opportunity to join us officially as a member. Membership for the year up to January 2011 is £29.50 so please bring cash or cheques with you if you want to officially become a Borough Belle. Everyone who signs up with us on 30 Nov will be rewarded with a special gift so there’s an added incentive!

If not, the cost of the meeting is £3 for guests (who can attend up to two meetings to try us out before deciding to join).

So Mon 30 Nov, 7.30 – 9.30pm at The Horse, 124 Westminster Bridge Road Waterloo London SE1 7XG. Be there or be square!

In the New Year we are hoping to settle down to doing meetings on a set day each month – so all members will know when they take place and can block the time out in their diaries. It hasn’t been possible so far but we are exploring options so watch this space. Details of the December meeting to follow shortly.
