Get excited! At this Wednesday’s meet we’re going to be trying our hand at embroidery with a workshop hosted by the marvellous Catherine Hirst – a contemporary crafts instructor who regularly does sessions at The Make Lounge.
If you already have embroidery equipment, please feel free to bring it. If not, we are asking people to pay a £2 deposit when they come in on their embroidery starter kit. At the end, you can either keep the kit, or give the equipment back to get your money back (don’t worry, you will be able to keep your handiwork of course!)
The embroidery workshop starts at our usual time of 7.30pm, but before that we have Elizabeth Patterson from the West Kent Federation (whom some of you may remember from our November meeting) coming to talk to us at 7pm about Resolutions. Each W.I. supports several charities or causes, such as saving the honey bee or a woman’s charity. If you have any ideas for which causes we can support, or how we can support them (remember, we are not allowed to donate money to them), please feel free to come early and join in the discussion.
For directions etc just click on the Meets section of the blog. See you there fellow crafters!
