We’re going to be kicking off our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING at 7.15 so please can members (or interested non-members) arrive a little early. It should only last about 30 minutes, and we’ll be summarising the year, going through the finances, resolutions and voting in committee members again. Any questions you particularly want answered about BBWI, or suggestions for the next year please e-mail them to us at email@example.com
Carrying on the tradition of our last spring tea party, we’re having another one to celebrate the queens jubilee year. To honour her trip down the thames, it’s going to have a nautical theme so sailor hats and striped tops are encouraged (but not essential!) Basically, we’re going to have all the elements of a jubilee street party including old time music, lots of chatting and getting to know each other, and possibly some fun games, but all within the comfort and shelter of our welsh chapel…
If people are able to, it’d be fantastic if you could bring along a bit of food or cake (we’re thinking finger sandwiches, pasties, Vicky sponges, coronation chicken (?), ginger beer or undecorated cupcakes* etc); we’ll bring along some food and also provide lashings of tea. As always, you are able to bring your own alcohol, so if people fancy bringing some bubbles or wine do so! You can come along just for some tea and a natter, but we’re also going to fill the hall with activities:
* WOOLLY CORNER: Newcomers and experienced knitters welcome! Pay tribute to the Queen by knitting corgis!!
* JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS CORNER If anyone wants to make a diamond for the queens jubilee, we could maybe work on doing a BBWI one!
* MAKE YOUR OWN SAILOR HAT Who needs expensive sailor hats when we can show you how to make your very own!
* CAKE CORNER *Ice your own cupcake into a homage to the royals
If anyone has any suggestions, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll try our best to get it in for you
