This weekend is set to be a country show filled one for the Borough Belles.
The Flower show celebrates the life of Octavia Hill in this Centanary Year. Octavia helped hundreds of poor people in the area by creating safe and clean housing and open spaces.
This Friday afternoon (14 September) from 3-6pm market stalls will be set up along Redcross Way, just round the corner from the Welsh Chapel. There will be arts and crafts displays, a Punch and Judy, refreshments and Victorian games.
One of our committee members, Borough Belle Amelia, will be involved in judging the fruit, vegetable and produce competition!
So why not pop down after work? Perhaps we’ll see you there – or at the Lambeth Country show on Saturday!
**And don’t forget next week’s meet: Pickling with Penny the Peckham Pickler!**
