Date for the diary: Dan Daw

A few months ago, Dan came to talk to the BBWI about his dancing career and show us some of his work. It was really interesting hearing him speak, and he was so inspiring and modest.

Dan and his company, Candoco, have a show coming up on 18 October at the Laban Centre. “Three Acts of Play” comprises three diverse dance works, which twist the perception of what dance is, who can dance and who enjoys it.  The performance starts at 7.30pm and should finish just after 9pm.

The building is also really amazing, and has won lots of architectural awards – so not one to miss!

For more information, see Candoco’s website.

And don’t forget our next meeting is on 17 October! We’ll be getting crafty, so come along and learn a new skill, or bring your current project.

At our usual home of Welsh Borough Chapel, 90 Southwark Bridge Road, SE1 0EX.  Guests very welcome if you would like to come try us out!  7.30-9.30pm, doors open from 7pm.  Guests pay £3. And annual membership is now open (£33 for membershio until January 2014)!
