In November we brightened up a dreary evening with Games Night. It was a hoot (as well as a miaow/neigh/ribbet on the Animal Snap table) revisiting old favourites like Cluedo, Trivial Pursuit and Pass the Bomb, and games enthusiast extraordinaire Christel introduced us to a new game Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow and showed us some of the others in her collection: Ticket to Ride, Skulls and Roses and Jungle Speed.
One table provided double the entertainment: the Belles who put on elephant face masks to play Dohnutters gave us all an excellent giggle.
Competition was no less fierce on the snacks table as Belles rose to the challenge of expressing the evening’s theme in edible form! We had jelly snakes and Mikado ladders, Minstrels for counters, x and x. A standout entry from Rae was beetroot and carrot Connect 4 pieces complete with handpainted board!
Ladies, you are all winners.
As well as games and treats we stocked up on presents from our own handmade stall – if you are in need of some lovely stocking fillers we’ll also be selling at Borough Market on 17th December, come and say hello!
The evening was organized by Book Club officer Phoebe right before her wedding! Congratulations Phoebe! Check out her amazing cake!
