Following Sheila’s fantastic talk at August’s meeting, Susi and Lara went to the Women’s Library to see the exhibition “Cycling to Suffrage”. It was fantastic to see the photos of the ladies cycling, listen to audio clips and chat more with Sheila. Thanks for showing us around, Sheila!
As you may know, the Women’s Library is threatened with closure following budget cuts at London Metropolitan University. It really would be terrible if this amazing resource was closed or had very reduced opening hours. There’s an excellent article on Open Democracy about why the library matters.
